The majority of extensions are installed in the extensions directory of the Firefox profile folder.I'd suggest you start there to see if the extension that you want to remove from Firefox is listed there. hopefully your problem will be solved.ħ) If something went wrong => Use the backup of your profile (above "1)"). Uninstall Firefox Add-ons without Remove button. Or open your prefs.js file, and inside find the "Internal UUID".Ĥ) Inside your profile folder, go to storage folder => go to default folder => find the folder using the "Internal UUID" you have from "3)" above, and delete the folder.ĥ) In prefs.js file, remove any reference related to the add-on.Ħ) Re-open the browser => Reinstall the add-on. Another way to do the same: Go to about:config => => Find the "Internal UUID". Restart twice.ģ) Launch your browser and go to about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox => look for the "Internal UUID" of the add-on you want to remove. But if for any reason you can't refresh your profile, here is a kind of aggressive workaround, that may or may not help you:ġ) Backup your profile (if something goes wrong, you always can have your original profile).Ģ) Launch your browser => remove the add-on.

If you say this is not happening, then something is corrupted in your profile, and you may want to refresh the whole profile (in order to avoid more problems in the future). By removing the add-on, all settings are deleted.
